Good morning! Let’s check in.

My friends and I had a successful weekend in the Catskills and were blessed with good weather for hiking, tennis, lake-swimming, and lounging outside. Total cost for my share of a car rental, roadside breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, groceries and booze for dinner, Sunday breakfast at a café, and an ice cream sundae before hitting the road back to the city: $115. My estimate was $150, so my weekend was a success budget-wise as well.

Nota bene: You can make s’mores with Reese’s peanut butter cups and Hershey’s special dark chocolate and it’s fantastic.
