Sorry We Sprayed You

Remember those college students from UC-Davis who were pepper-sprayed at point-blank range by Lt. John Pike? The 21 students who filed a lawsuit against the University of California have agreed on settlement — each plaintiff will receive $30,000 and a personal apology from Chancellor Linda Katehi, and other students who were hit with pepper spray can submit a claim for payments up to $20,000. The settlement also pays all the legal fees, and says that the regents “are not conceding wrongdoing in the incident.”
