The Cost of My NYE

Bolt Bus ticket, Seattle to Portland: $25.00

“Rent” in the Starbucks that substituted for a bus station, necessary to stay off the 30-degree sidewalk: $6.45

Host gift, Tenth Avenue Liquor Store: $18.95 (it was a bottle of Woodford Reserve; I like candy-flavored liquor myself but I have good taste when it’s for other people)

Shot of Hennessy and ginger ale, Tenth Avenue Liquor Store: FREE (they were handing these out to celebrate NYE and advertise Hennessy)

Dinner and drinks at Davis Street Tavern: $78.00 (instead of splitting checks, we took turns picking up the tab, and this one was my turn; it all came out fair enough in the end)

Ticket to NYE show featuring The Doubleclicks, Joseph Scrimshaw, and Barbara Holm: $16.52

Drinks and diner food throughout the night and into the morning: FREE (see above, I got the first tab)

“Rent” in that same Starbucks “bus station” the next day: $1.95

Bolt Bus, Portland to Seattle: $24.50

TOTAL: $171.37 (and it was TOTALLY WORTH IT)

How about you? How much did you spend, and was it totally worth it?
