Monday Check-in

Good morning! Let’s check in.

I had planned on seeing Gone Girl this weekend, but ended up scrapping it to get re-acquainted with my apartment and rest up for a surprise birthday party that was thrown for a friend from grad school at a hotel bar downtown ($4 in tips for two drinks since it was open bar, as all good parties are). Later in the evening, two friends and I had some late-night bbq (27.52) and pudding before heading home to pass out. On Sunday I picked up a few groceries ($42), did some work, and scouted for a place for my friends and I to stay up state later this month. My estimate was $150, and I spent $73.52 — way under budget thanks to not having to pay for drinks for myself and the birthday boy because of the open bar.
