Monday Check-in

Good morning on this rainy Monday! Let’s check-in.

The Lone Star Chili Cook-off I attended was great and fun as usual ($50), and included the addition of a reality show called Breaking Amish. Pictured is the Amish team serving their chili, which was not chili exactly, but a stew with deer venison and, strangely, bologna. After a day at the cook-off, some friends and I headed for burgers and fries ($15), and then to watch the Belmont race. On Sunday I spent the day running errands with a stop for an iced coffee ($4), and ordered a Brita filter for the office ($28). My estimate was $125 and I ended up spending $97.

And how were your weekends?
