We Hope You Love Her As Much As We Already Do
by Mike Dang and Logan Sachon

Mike: Logan, so we’ve got some programming news to announce, yes?
Logan: Yessir. Starting yesterday Meaghan O’Connell will be blogging part-time for this here internet website, which is a very exciting development. Welcome Meaghan O’Connell! A bit about Meaghan: She used to work at tumblr, then she worked at Kickstarter, and now she’s freelancing. She lives in New York and blogs very honestly and thoughtfully about her life. She also comments on this website a lot (“Meaghano”).
Mike: Yes. You’ve been seeing her posts already. She also wrote this really great rental history for us. So, we’re happy to have Meaghan join us as an additional voice on the site for a lot of reasons, including that she is a person who used to be not-so-good at money and then turned things around for herself. So that’ll be really great insight to share.
Logan: I’m also excited because I am a little burnt out on daily blogging right now (have you noticed I’m a little burnt out on daily blogging right now?) and Meaghan posting is going to give me some freedom to spend energy on interviews and features.
Mike: Right, so if readers don’t see you on the site everyday, it’s not because you’re not working on the site anymore — you are! Just doing less daily blogging and more of the kinds of things like the interview you did today with Tracy Moore, which was excellent. Plus if you do want to put up a post because you feel like it, you will do that. You will still Do 1 Thing.
Logan: Ha, yes, I will still do 1 thing.
Mike: In any case, this will be a good thing overall. You gave up part of your already small paycheck so we could find someone to help with blogging. And Meaghan just left her job and has free time and is in a good place financially, so it worked out despite our meager budget. I think it’s good that you acknowledged that doing the daily posts wasn’t really doing it for you, and are now addressing it. I do feel like you’ll feel more up to posting now that you don’t have to do it. We are revealing some behind-the-scenes here!
Logan: Running a blog, living the dream.
Mike: Well the dream would be that you and I could quit all of our side jobs and hire everyone who has ever written for us and then become The Billfoldington Post. Hah, no, but you know what I mean. But! In the meantime, we have Meaghan, who is officially starting on Monday as our part-time contributing editor and we are happy to have her. She’ll be formally introducing herself then. We hope everyone loves her as much as we already do.
