Eating for a Living
I was going to start this morning off by talking about the State of the Union and the push for higher minimum wages, but the news media is already all over it (you can see the president’s remarks here, as well as a map of states with minimum wages higher than the federal rate).
Instead, I’d like to point to this report by Reuters via Digg about a trend in South Korea called “gastronomic voyeurism.” The young woman in the video earns $9,000 a month eating in front of a webcam for three hours a day and chatting with strangers. My stars.
