Monday Check-In

enjoy playing Where’s Waldo with the toilet paper

Happy Monday! It’s time to check in on our weekend spending.

On Friday, I estimated that I would have a no-spend weekend.

Then, I researched a bunch of coupon apps and realized that I might save a lot of money if I bought all of July’s toiletries before the weekend was over.

How Much Money Could I Be Saving If I Bought Household Goods With Coupons?

So… I bought everything you see in the photo, spent $49.78 at Safeway and $7.30 at Walgreens, and saved $16.66 at Safeway and $10.58 at Walgreens.

“Saved” being a relative term, of course, since I didn’t immediately put that $27.24 into a savings account, but you get the idea.

I also spent part of Saturday walking around Green Lake (literally; there’s a path around the lake) and then bought a $2.60 champagne truffle at Chocolati afterwards.

Total spending: $59.68.

How about you?
