Be Aggressive, B-E Aggressive When It Comes to Wage Theft

Did you know that cheerleaders in the NFL typically get paid $70 to $90 per game? And that the cheerleaders for the Oakland Raiders get paid just $1,250 per season? It’s a nominal amount of money and the cheerleaders for the Oakland Raiders are suing for what they say is thousands of dollars in unpaid wages. Says one cheerleader:

“The club controls our hairstyle and makeup, and we have to foot the bill,” she said. “We also have to pay the costs for traveling to all kinds of events, including photo shoots … I love the Raiders and I love being a Raiderette, but someone has to stand up for all of the women of the NFL who work so hard for the fans and the teams.”

By comparison, mascots in the NFL get paid a yearly salary that can reach upwards of $65,000 a year.
