Breaking: Ethics on Wall Street Not Great
A new survey of hundreds of people working on Wall Street shows that even people working on Wall Street are distrustful of people working on Wall Street. WNYC has an interview with Jordan Thomas, one of the co-writers of the annual survey who says that this year, 1) the bad conduct they saw got worse, 2) younger professionals are more likely to engage, condone, or accept misconduct, and are less likely to report misconduct out of fear, and 3) 28 percent of financial services professionals indicated that the industry did not put the best interest of the clients first, which he says is the bedrock in which our financial system has been developed.
So, basically, this survey backs up what we already surmised to beĀ true.
