A Sort of Feel Good Story
Officials in Portland, Maine recently voted to make it illegal for people to hang out in the medians of roads. (As in many places across the country, people were hanging out in the medians of roads asking for money, and this was annoying some people.) So that is now not allowed. But, but. In the same meeting, they also voted to devote $400K a year to programs that will help employ the hard to employ. Like the people who were hanging out in the medians of roads. So that’s nice.
