Do You Do 1 Thing Because I Do 1 Thing

Thursday is a great day to do that 1 thing you don’t want to do but also don’t want to continue thinking about doing.

Today my 1 thing is super simple, seemingly. All I have to do is get my check from the restaurant and then walk by the Pay-O-Matic check cashing place without cashing it. That’s it! And then I have to deposit it into my new bank account using an app on my phone. All so simple. All so easy. All so impossible for me to do last week. The siren call of the Pay-O-Matic GET CASH NOW check cashing storefront was too much, and I … traded my check for cash, minus a $4 fee. This week will be different. This week I will deposit my check and then transfer some of those dollars to a savings account (ugh, like half — I owe myself) and then get the rest of it out as needed without ATM fees for the first time in eons. So that’s what I’m up to! Walking by a depressing and unattractive place without going in it. What about you!!?!
