Okay Fine You Can Pee At Work But We’re Not Paying For It
Kristin Rifkin used to work at a T-Mobile call center in Nashville, Tenn. When she was pregnant and had to pee a lot, as pregnant women do, she was forced to clock out each time and use vacation leave. To pee. And she had to fight for that!
“After a long consultation with H.R. to make sure it would be air tight, I got the doctor’s note, so I was free to go to the bathroom whenever I needed. But T-Mobile was absolutely not going to pay me for going to the toilet. So every time I needed to go, I had to clock out and log out of the system.”
The scariest part of this for me is that the first time I was kind of empathetic with T-Mobile? Like, they do have to keep up their numbers! WHICH IS AN INSANE THING TO THINK. I’VE BEEN BRAINWASHED HAVE YOU BEEN BRAINWASHED TOO?!? (via)
