An American Story
We can recriminate ourselves for our mistakes, but that changes nothing. We can be angry at our misfortune and take it out on one another, but that doesn’t help, either.
So, I suggested we try happiness.
Neil Reisner is 60 years old and is on the verge of losing the home that he and his wife and two daughters have lived in for the past few years. It’s a story a lot of people who lost jobs and homes during the recession will be able to identify with: living paycheck to paycheck, using credit cards more than they should have, refinancing their homes to make up for lost income, too much faith in real estate, and so on and so forth.
