Billfold pal Josh Eidelson recently joined an Al Jazeera panel to continue discussing the story he has been covering looking at the poor conditions of guest workers who have been brought from overseas as part of a cultural exchange program to work at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. From Al Jazeera: “In this latest case, students say they were underpaid and forced to live in overpriced, crowded housing and that the only culture they have been exposed to is the inside of a McDonald’s.”
