Another Reason to Go for Gold

Yesterday, Deadspin’s Barry Petchesky and I were discussing what the Olympic medals were actually worth. “One of us should write a post about this,” I said. Well, Barry has beaten me to it. Everyone wants to go for gold, and they should — the gold medal is worth 129 times as much as the bronze medal. Of course, as Barry notes: You can’t put a price on history.
